ACC announced the Dates and Venues of Asia Cup 2023. They confirmed Asia Cup 2023 to Play in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The full detailed schedule still has not come out. But ACC confirmed Asia Cup 2023 will start from 31st August to 17th September 2023. A total of 13 matches will be played in the tournament.
Asia Cup 2023 to Play in Pakistan and Sri Lanka
ACC announced Asia Cup 2023 to Play in Pakistan and Sri Lanka in a media release on June 15. The tournament is planned in a hybrid format, with four matches taking place in Pakistan and the remaining nine in Sri Lanka.
Initially, all matches were supposed to host in Pakistan. But India’s unwillingness to travel to Pakistan leads Asia Cup 2023 to a hybrid model.
Nepal will play against Pakistan and India in group-stage matches. Nepal vs Pakistan match will be played in Pakistan whereas Nepal vs India match will take place in Sri Lanka.
Asia Cup 2023 Group Stage Matches
A total of six nations will compete for the trophy, in which two groups are divided. In Group A, Nepal, India, and Pakistan are placed whereas in Group B, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan will compete. A total of 6 group-stage matches will take place.
Asia Cup 2023 Super 4 Matches
Two top teams from each group will move toward Super 4. In Super 4 each team will play against all other teams for once. A total of 6 Super 4 matches will take place. The top two teams from Super 4 will qualify for the Final.
