In the 1st quarter Heat were leading by 14 points and were 10 points up at the start of the 3rd quarter but with just over seven minutes left, they were behind by six. The Heat played more excellent games than any other team during the regular season. Also, their familiarity with them paid off when they went on a 15-1 run to end the game after Coby White’s three-pointer had given the Bulls a three-point lead with 3:47 left.

Tyler Herro chipped in with 12 points and Bam Adebayo grabbed an impressive 17 rebounds for Miami. DeMar DeRozan was the top scorer for the Bulls as he scored 26 points. He also gave nine assists. Alex Caruso chipped in with 16 points. Max Strus and Jimmy Butler both put up 31 points to lead the Miami Heat to victory over the Chicago Bulls in a crucial Eastern Conference play-in game on Friday night.

The Heat overcame a six-point deficit in the final quarter. And they win the game by 102-91. Butler’s crucial three-point play, followed by a three-pointer from Strus, put the Heat ahead for good. Strus then sealed the win with three free throws after being fouled on a shot from beyond the arc.

The victory secures the No. 8 seed in the East for the Heat. They will now face the NBA’s top overall seed, the Milwaukee Bucks, in the first round starting on Sunday. Zach Lavine had 15 points but struggled with his shooting, going 6-for-20. Coby White scored 14 for the Bulls, who were unable to secure the second road win they needed to make the playoffs.
