India defeated Nepal in the Asia Cup 2023. India won the match by 10 wickets. The Nepal vs India match was played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele. India won the toss and elected to bowl first. Nepal batted so well against India looking at their bowling lineup but couldn’t bowl well and hence Nepal lost the match against India.

Nepal set a target of 231 runs but due to rain, only 23 overs match was possible in the second inning and 145 runs was the new target by the DLS method. India chased the target comfortably and won the match.
Nepal vs India First Inning
Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh give a good start for Nepal. They have an opening partnership of 65 runs. Bhurtel scored 38 runs in just 25 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes. Shardul Thakur took the first wicket for India. Bhim Sharki, Rohit Paudel, and Kushal Malla couldn’t do much for the team. Ravindra Jadeja sent them back to the pavilion.
Aasif Sheikh made a fifty, and then he was also out by Siraj. He scored 58 runs in 97 runs with the help of 8 fours. Gulshan Jha scored 23 runs then Shiraj took his wicket. Then Nepal was in 144 runs with a loss of 6 wickets in 31.5 overs. Then DS Airee and Sompal Kami were on the crease and they batted nicely. DS Airee made 29 runs and lost his wicket in the 42nd over by Hardik.
Sompal Kami played some shots, he missed his half-century but played a good inning. Sompal made 48 runs in 56 balls with the help of a four and 2 sixes. Shami took his wicket in the 48th over. In the same over, Sandeep Lamichhane was also run out while he was batting at 9 runs. In the next over, Lalit was bowled by Shiraj. Lalit was out for a duck and Karan remained not out in 2 runs. As a result, Nepal set a good total of 230 runs on the board.
Nepal vs India Second Inning
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill opened the inning for India. They played very well and made half-centuries. In the first over, Karan KC troubled Rohit Sharma a little bit but then both batters played very nicely.
Rohit Sharma scored 74 runs in 59 balls with the help of 6 fours and 5 sixes. Shubman Gill scored 67 runs in 62 balls with the help of 8 fours and 1 six. They completed the target in 20.1 overs. As a result, India defeated Nepal in the Asia Cup 2023 by 10 wickets.
