Malaysia Announces Squad for ACC Premier Cup 2023 in Nepal. The 14-member squad is announced for the upcoming ACC Premier Cup in Nepal. The tournament will take place from April 18 to May 1 and will be held at TU and Mulpani grounds in Nepal. The winner of the ACC Premier Cup will get a chance to play in the Asia Cup 2023 which will be held in Pakistan.

Oman has announced that it will play practice matches against Nepal and Bahrain before the ACC Premier Cup.[1]

The Malaysian cricket team has selected a 14-member squad for the tournament, with Ahmad Faiz as the captain of the team.

Tournament Format:
The ACC Premier Cup has two groups, A and B. Nepal, Oman, Qatar, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia are in Group A. Whereas Group B consists of Hong Kong, UAE, Kuwait, Singapore, and Bahrain.
From each group, the top 2 teams will play the semi-final match.
Matchups:
The winning team of the tournament will get the opportunity to play against India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup. Malaysia’s first match will be against Nepal at TU ground on April 18. They will then play against Saudi Arabia on April 20 at Mulpani. The team’s third game is against Oman on May 10, and then on May 12, they will play against Qatar.
Malaysia will move to the semifinals if they finish in the top two spots in their group.
