At the west End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha, the fifth match of the Legend League Cricket Tournament pitted the India Maharajs squad against the World Giants. After winning the toss, the World Giants decided to bowl first. Jasmine Naeem, Nimali Perera, and Kerrin Kaaste acted as the match’s umpires. Notably, on March 11th, these two teams played each other at the same location. The World Giants gave the India Maharaja team a 167-run objective to meet during that game. Nevertheless, the group fell short, scoring a total of 164 runs. The Third Edition Of Legend League 2023

First Inning

For India maharaja, Uthappa, and Bisla enter the field as the first inning begins, with Brett Lee leading the attack. Uthappa’s effort, sadly, falls short of expectations as he only manages to score 5 runs before being removed, giving his team a score of 11. Reetinder Sodhi comes to the crease and quickly returns to the pavilion. As a result, Suresh Raina now joins Bisla at the crease.

India Maharaja concluded their powerplay with a 42-run total and two wickets lost. Yusuf Pathan scored just three runs before being dismissed. Bisla was dismissed after reaching 36 runs, and Stuart Binny got out for a duck. Even though Suresh Raina scored 49 runs, he fell short of the half-century mark. Mohammad Kaif went duck hunting as well as a result India Maharaja finished their innings with a total of 9 wickets lost and a goal of 137 runs in 20 overs.

For World Giants, Brett Lee took three wickets and conceded just 18 runs. Samit Patel and Panesar each managed to take one wicket, while Mpofu and Best both managed to take two.

Second Inning

Gayle and Amla opened the batting for World Giants, putting together a partnership of 42 runs in just three overs. However, Watson was able to score 26 before being removed whereas Amla was only out for six runs. Gayle eventually left the game after scoring a brilliant half-century and collecting 57 runs. As Taylor and Patel each scored seven and twelve runs, Finch could only make five. Before being struck out, Powell could only add three runs. Van Wyk’s four helped the team win by a margin of three wickets.

For India Maharaja, Yusuf Pathan, however, got two wickets for India Maharaja, while Harbhajan Singh, Ashok Dinda, Prabin Tambe, and Suresh Raina each took one wicket.
