There are 2 grounds where Upper Ground is used as a training ground by Nepali Cricket Team and the lower ground is under construction. Mulpani Cricket Ground May Get ODI Status
In the ongoing ACC Men’s Premier Cup, the second semi-final match between Oman and UAE is likely to be played at Mulpani Cricket Ground. The first semi-final match between Nepal and Kuwait will be played at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kritipur according to the source.
Tribhuvan University International Ground is the only Ground in Nepal that has got ODI status. As both games will be played on 29th April 2023, 09:00 (Nepali Time), it is not possible to organize both games in TU Ground. Oman and UAE both have ODI status and the game will be an ODI game that should be played on the pitch with ODI standards.
What if Mulpani Cricket Ground Did Not Get ODI status?
For this, ACC and CAN are on the way to coordinate with ICC for Mulpani Cricket Ground ODI status. If in case Mulpani Ground did not get the ODI status from ICC, The game between OMAN and UAE will be considered a List A game. The concerned authorities of ACC and CAN be dealing with this.
