Mumbai Indians won against SRH: SRH vs MI, Mumbai Indians defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 14 runs in the 25th match of IPL 2023. The match was played on April 18 at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and opted to bowl first. MI set a total of 192 runs with a loss of 5 wickets after playing all overs. In the chase, SRH all out in 178 runs, and Mumbai Indians took a victory over SRH.
First Inning Summary
Captain Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan opened the inning for Mumbai Indians. Rohit scored 28 runs in 18 balls whereas Ishan Kishan scored 38 runs in 31 balls. Natarajan sent Rohit and Jansen sent Kishan back to the pavilion.
Cameron Green scored 64 runs not out in 40 balls, the highest runs for MI in the match. He smashed six fours and two sixes in his inning. Jansen again strike and sent Surya back for 7 runs. Tilak Verma also scored 37 runs in 17 balls and was out on the ball by Bhuvi Kumar. He hit two fours and four sixes in his inning. At last, Tim David made 16 runs and helped MI to set a target of 193 runs.
For SRH, Marco Jansen picked up 2 wickets. T Natarajan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar also took 1-1 wickets.
Second Inning Summary
Harry Brook and Mayank Agarwal opened the inning for SRH. Brook scored 9 runs then Behrendorff took his wicket. Rahul Tripathi came to bat but he also couldn’t do much for the team. Aiden Markram came in and scored 22 runs then Green sent him back to the pavilion.
Mayank Agarwal was holding and scoring some runs on the board. Abhishek Sharma also went back for 1 run. Then Henrich Klassen walked in and scored 36 runs for the team. He scored the runs in 16 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes. Chawla sent both Abhishek and Klassen back to the pavilion.
Mayan Agarwal scored 48 runs in 41 balls with the help of four fours and one six. Riley Meredith took his wicket in the 15th over. Then Marco Jansen scored 13 runs and Sundar also scored 10 runs for the team.
SRH required 20 runs in the last over to win the match. Arjun Tendulkar bowled the last over, took 1 wicket, and conceded only 5 runs. Abdul Samad couldn’t finish the match for the team. He was run out in the last over. As a result, Mumbai Indians won against SRH by 14 runs.
