Nepal is looking to host Twenty-Twenty World Cup Asia Qualifiers. According to sources, Nepal has initiated the process to host the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier, which will determine the teams from the Asian region that will advance to the main tournament. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has already released the schedule and fixtures for the qualifying matches.

The host for the Asia region is yet to be announced, although all hosts of other regions have been confirmed. The upcoming T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier will feature eight teams vying for two spots in the main tournament. Along with Nepal, Oman, Hong Kong, UAE, Bahrain, and Singapore, two teams from the sub-regional tournament will join the competition in the regional final.
The upcoming T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by 2 countries, the USA and West Indies. The schedule of the Twenty20 World Cup 2024 is nearly fixed and will be played in June 2024. 20 teams will be playing the T20 World Cup out of which 12 teams are already fixed, now 8 spots will be filled by different qualifiers game.
Nepal is currently hosting ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2023. This tournament started on the 18th of April. The winner of the ACC Premier Cup will get the spot to play in Asia Cup 2023 which will be held in Pakistan later this year.
In an interview with Kantipur, Chatur Bahadur Chand, the president of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), told that they are making efforts to host the ICC World Cup qualifiers in the Asian region. The success of their participation in the ACC Premier Cup, which is scheduled to take place between October and November, will determine their qualification for the event. Chand also mentioned that preparations for the proposed project have already commenced.
Nepal is also trying to host different ACC tournaments every year. As ACC Officials are currently in Nepal for ACC Premier Cup 2023, CAN has asked for different tournaments to host in Nepal. According to President Chand, the ACC Twenty-20 Cup is scheduled to be held in January-February of next year, and the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is making efforts to participate in the event. Additionally, the ACC U-19 Premier Cup is set to take place later this year. President Chand stated that they have expressed their interest in hosting either the Twenty-20 or U-19 Premier Cup, and they remain interested in hosting both tournaments. (Source @CricNepal)
