Nepal announces team for ACC Premier Cup 2023: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced the 14-member team that will represent Nepal in the ACC Premier Cup. The team will be led by Rohit Paudel, and there have been no changes made to the team that played in the League 2 triangular ODI series against UAE and Papua New Guinea last month.

ACC Premier Cup details

The ACC Premier Cup will begin on Tuesday 18th April. The winner of the ACC Premier Cup will get to play against India and Pakistan in Asia Cup 2023. Nepal is in Group A along with Oman, Qatar, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia, and they will play three matches in TU and one match in Mulpani.

Nepal’s matches

Nepal will play their first match on the 18th of April against Malaysia at TU Cricket Ground. Their second match will be against Oman on April 21 at TU, and this match will be recognized as an ODI, and it will be Nepal’s 50th ODI. Nepal will play against Saudi Arabia on April 24 in Mulpani and against Qatar on April 27 on TU.

Semi-finals and finals

The semi-finals will be held on the 16th of Baisakh, and the final will take place on the 1st of May. If there is rain on the final day, one day is kept as a reserve day. There will also be a competition for third place. Nepal will be aiming to play in the Asia Cup for the first time, so their performance in this tournament will be crucial.
