Nepal is leading the group A points table with 5 points whereas Oman is in second position with 4 points. Malaysia and Qatar are already out of the tournament as they can not reach the semifinal even if they win the remaining league matches. So the battle between Saudi Arabia and Oman will decide the second team qualifying for the semi-finals from group A.
Nepal won the first match against Malaysia by 6 wickets and won the second match against Oman by 84 runs. The third match against Saudi Arabia is abandoned without a bowl bowled. So Nepal now has 5 points and entered the semi-finals. Now only one team between Saudi Arabia and Oman can reach 5 points and that team will qualify along with Nepal into the semi-finals.
