As Nepal lost their final group stage match against the Netherlands, Nepal is out of the World Cup Qualifiers 2023. As well as Nepal’s dream to play in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 also comes to an end. Nepal couldn’t make them into Super 6 as Nepal could only gain 2 points with only a win against the USA in the tournament.
Nepal is out of the World Cup Qualifiers 2023
Nepal lost 3 matches and won only 1 match in the group stage of the World Cup Qualifier 2023. Nepal lost against Zimbabwe by 8 wickets in the first match of the qualifier. Nepal won their second match against the USA by 6 wickets. Nepal lost their third match against West Indies by 101 runs. And Nepal lost their last match against the Netherlands by 7 wickets.
Nepal is in group A of the qualifiers with Zimbabwe, West Indies, Netherlands, and the USA. From the group, West Indies, Zimbabwe, and the Netherlands advanced for the Super 6.

Nepal lost against the Netherlands by 7 wickets
Nepal vs Netherlands match was played at Takashinga Sports Club, Harare. The Netherlands won the toss and decided to bowl first. Nepal could only score 167 runs on the board. In the chase, the Netherlands reached the target with a loss of 3 wickets. As a result, Nepal lost against the Netherlands by 7 wickets. With this loss, Nepal is out of the World Cup Qualifiers 2023.
Nepali batters struggled in the match. Rohit Paudel scored 33 runs, which was the highest score from the Nepal side in the match. Kushal Bhurtel and Sandeep Lamichhane both scored 27 runs. Dutch bowler Van Beek bowled really well and picked up 4 wickets. Vikramjit Singh and de Leede also took 2 wickets each whereas Floyd and Dutt also took 1 wicket each.
Max O’Dowd scored 90 runs for the Netherlands in the low-score run chase. De Leede scored 41 not out and Vikramjit Singh scored 30 runs for the Netherlands. Sandeep Lamichhane picked up 2 wickets and Gulshan Jha took 1 wicket for Nepal.
