The 19th edition of the Asian Games (Asiad) is going to be held in Hangzhou, China from September 10 to 25. National Sports Council (NSC) has announced that Nepal is Participating in 23 Gaming Events in this edition of the Asian Games.

The National Sports Council has chosen the sports and players according to their performance in previous Asian Games and other national and international competitions.

Nepal is Participating in 23 Gaming Events

In these 23 events, Both men and women will participate in sports like:

Taekwondo
Karate
Boxing
Athletics
Cycling
Golf
Wrestling
Weightlifting
Judo
Swimming
Triathlon
Wushu
Archery
Basketball
Fencing
Shooting
Table Tennis
Badminton

Only female players will participate in sports like:

Football
Kabaddi
Handball
Volleyball

And, only male players will be seen participating in cricketing events. They will play twenty20 cricket.

Nepal in the 2018 Asian Games:

In the 18th edition of Asiad 2018, Nepal managed to secure a single silver medal in Men’s Paragliding event. Nepal participated in 29 games in that edition.
