Nepal lost against Scotland before Qualifiers 2023 by 7 wickets in a Practice match in South Africa. Chasing a winning target of 136 runs for victory, Scotland has completed it with the loss of three wickets.
Scotland Beat Nepal by 7 Wickets:
Nepal’s opener Asif Sheikh was dismissed for 28 runs off 36 balls. Another opener Kushal Bhurtel was caught out scoring 16 runs with 2 fours off 24 balls. Openers Asif Sheikh and Kushal Bhurtel gave Nepal an average start with a partnership of 36 runs in 8.1 overs. After Kushal got out, Nepal lost consecutive wickets.

Bhim Sarki was dismissed for 8 runs off 10 balls. Asif was bowled out by Jack Jarvis in the first ball of the 14th over. Soon after, captain Rohit Paudel got out for a golden duck in the next ball. After Rohit got out, Nepal was in huge trouble. Nepal was 58-4 in 13.2 overs when Rohit got out.
After losing the toss and being invited to bat first, Nepal was all out for 135 runs in 28.5 overs.
Chasing the low target of 136 runs, Scotland won the match against Nepal by 7 wickets. Scotland captain Richie Berrington remained at the crease with 41 and Brendan McMullan 59 runs. Nepal’s Gulshan Jha took two wickets and Sompal Kami took one wicket. No other bowler could take a wicket.
