Nepal Practice Matches Ahead of World Cup Qualifier

The practice matches leading up to the ICC Men’s World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe will act as a booster for all the teams. The matches will help the team to adapt to the conditions and make team combinations accordingly. Nepal, one of the participating teams, is set to face UAE and Oman in the Practice matches. Nepal will face UAE on June 13th at Old Hararians, Harare as the first warm match. On 15th June, Nepal will face Oman at Takashinga Cricket Club.

The unfortunate news for Nepal is that they will not be playing warm-up matches against any test country. The recently published schedule by ICC shows that every other team will play a match against a test country except Nepal. This decision by the ICC is a clear disadvantage for Nepal as they will not be able to gauge their abilities against top-level opposition. This unequal treatment will surely affect the moral of the Nepalese team, as they will miss a valuable chance before the main event.
