Nepal Qualified for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating UAE in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier. The T20 World Cup 2024 will be co-hosted by USA and West Indies. Oman also qualified for the tournament by defeating Bahrain in another semi-final in the qualifier match. Nepal and Oman will play in the final of the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier.
Nepal Qualified for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024
This is the second time Nepal has qualified for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. In 2014, Nepal played in the first T20 World Cup. After 10 years, Nepal will play another T20 World Cup in 2024.
Nepal defeated UAE by 8 wickets to qualify for the T20 World Cup 2024. For Nepal in the run chase, Asif scored 65* runs, Rohit scored 33* runs, Gulshan scored 22 runs and Bhurtel scored 11 runs. Nepal bowlers troubled UAE batters, as a result, UAE could score only 134 runs. In the Nepal win, Kushal Malla picked up 3 wickets, Sandeep took 2 wickets and Rohit and Sompal also got 1 wicket each. For UAE, Vritya Aravind scored 64 runs and Waseem scored 26 runs.
The final match between Nepal and Oman in the T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier is on November 5 at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.
