The first Semi-final Match of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup between Nepal and Kuwait is interrupted by Rain. Nepal vs Kuwait Match washed out and Nepal progressed to the final being the Group topper. Similarly, the match of UAE vs Oman also got interrupted and UAE won the match by DLS method.
Although, after some time ground caretakers were seen removing the covers but again the rain started and the game looked to be called off.
First Inning Till Now
Kuwait won the toss and elected to bowl first. Nepal started the inning in a destructive manner. Nepal reached the 50 runs milestone in just 5.5 overs. At the end of the 1st power-play, Nepal was 76 with no loss of wicket.
The opening partnership of 77 runs was seen from just 65 balls. Kushal Bhurtel departs for 43 runs from 39 balls as the first wicket for Nepal. A quick second wicket falls for Nepal as Bhim Sharki gets out for just 1 run. Aasif Sheikh scored 31 from 28 balls and returns back to the pavilion. For Kuwait, Adnan Idrees took 2 wickets and Mohammed Aslam took 1 wickets.
Nepal was 80 for 3 in 12.2 overs. And then for the fourth wicket, Captain Rohit Kumar Poudel and Kushal Malla are doing good. Rohit is playing for 30 in 40 balls and Kushal Malla in 32. The game is disturbed by rain. Nepal is 141 for 3 in 23.2 overs.
What If This Game is washed out?
After the match was stopped for more than an hour due to rain, the match was supposed to be 45-45 overs. The game was said to start at 12:15. But again it has been raining in TU since 12:04.
After it rains again, the pitch is covered with a cover. The game will start late. Rainfall has increased in Tiu. If the match is not played, there will be a super over.
