As Oman was ahead of Kuwait in net run rate Oman Qualified For Emerging Asia Cup 2023. Oman and Kuwait played against each other for third place in the ongoing ACC Premier’s Cup. The game ended without a result due to rain.

Oman came to the game after they lost the game against UAE by 3 runs in the DLS method in the second Semi-final. While the match between Kuwait and Nepal in the first Semi-final was washed out by rain. As Nepal was playing unbeaten this season Nepal got a place in the Final.

This match was played at Tribhuwan University International Cricket Ground, Kritipur. Oman won the toss and elected to bowl first. Oman showed complete dominance by bowling against Kuwait. Kuwait was all out for 130 runs in 31.3 overs.

For Kuwait Adnan Idrees scored the highest run for his team. He scored 34 runs from 48 balls. Sayed Monib scored 28 from 10 balls. Three players from Kuwait were out for 0. Ravija Sandaruwan scored 12, captain Mohammed Aslam scored 12 runs and Yasin Patel scored 17 runs which helped Kuwait to make a total of 130 on the board.

Jay Odedra, from Oman, took 5 wickets for 14 runs in just 5.3 overs. Bilal Khan took two wickets for 47 runs in 7 overs. Aayan Khan, Zeeshan Maqsood, and Jatinder Singh took 1-1 wicket each.

Second Inning:

Oman was looking good from the beginning. Kashyap Prajapati and Jatinder Singh were playing in 13 and 26 runs respectively. At the end of 6 overs, Oman was 41 with no loss. Yasin Patel from Kuwait bowled 2 overs and conceded 6 runs. Shahrukh Quddus gave 26 runs from 3 overs and Sayed Monib gave 9 runs in one over.

The game abounded due to the continuous rain. The second inning was only bowled for 6 overs so the game ended without the result.

Although the game ended without a result, Oman has qualified for the Emerging Asia Cup 2023. Both Oman and Kuwait were in the second position in their corresponding group with 6 points. But, Oman was ahead of Kuwait in the net run rate so Oman Qualified For Emerging Asia Cup 2023. Nepal and UAE have already been made for the Emerging Asia Cup 2023 as they are playing the Final of ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2023 tomorrow.
