Nepal’s Practice Match Venue is Yet to be Confirmed
Nepal’s practice match venue against Oman has not yet been confirmed. The team is currently undergoing closed training, and the decision on the venue is yet to be made. The acting secretary of CAN, Durgaraj Pathak, stated that the team is preparing to play in either Upper Mulpani or TU.
Nepal Announces 21-Member Team for ACC Premier Cup
Nepal has announced a 21-member team for the ACC Premier Cup, and the team continues with closed training. Pathak mentioned that it may take a couple more days for the final team to arrive, and they are also planning to make an A team.
Asia Cup Details and Schedule
The Asia Cup will be held from April 18 to May 1 at TU and Mulpani grounds. The teams are divided into two groups. Nepal, Oman, Qatar, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia are in Group A, whereas Group B consists of Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Singapore, and Bahrain. The top 2 teams from each group will then play in the semi-final. The winning team will get to play India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup. Oman will be participating in the Asia Cup for the first time.
ODI Recognition Match between Oman and Nepal
An ODI recognition match will be played between Oman and Nepal on April 21 at TU ground. It is expected that the result between these two Premier Cup title contenders will determine the winner and runner-up of Group A.
Oman’s Schedule in ACC Premier Cup
Oman will start their first match against Qatar on April 19 at the Mulpani ground. After playing against Nepal at TU, Oman will play against Malaysia on April 23 in Mulpani. On April 26, Oman will play against Saudi Arabia at the TU ground.
