PBKS Batting

Shikhar Dhawan and Prabhsimran Singh opened the inning for Punjab Kings. Prabhsimran went for a duck and Shikhar Dhawan hit two fours and then went for 8 runs. Shami and Little got the wickets of those two openers.

Matthew Short came in for one down then played shots. He scored 36 runs in 24 balls with the help of six fours and one six. In the 7th over, Rashid Khan came to bowl his first over of this match, then he took the wicket of Short.

Jitesh Sharma and Bhanuka Rajapaksa batted at the crease for the fourth wicket. Jitesh played 23 balls and scored 25 runs then Mohit Sharma sent him back to the pavilion. Bhanuka Rajapaksa struggled a lot at the crease. He scored only 20 runs in 26 balls. He was caught out on the ball by Joseph. Then Punjab Kings was in 115 runs at 16.5 overs with a loss of 5 wickets.

Sam Curren also scored runs of balls. He was playing at 22 runs then Mohit Sharma sent him back to the pavilion. Shahrukh Khan played some shots at last and took Punjab Kings up to 153 runs. Shahrukh scored 22 runs in 9 balls then he was run out. Harpreet Brar also scored 8 runs not out. Punjab Kings post a target of 154 runs for Gujarat Titans with a loss of 8 wickets.

GT Bowling

Captain Hardik used only five bowlers to bowl against Punjab. Mohit Sharma picked up 2 wickets. He conceded only 18 runs in his spell. Others four bowlers got a 1-1 wicket. Rashid Khan took 1 wicket and conceded 26 runs in his spell. Alzarri Joseph also took 1 wicket for 32 runs. Shami also took 1 wicket but he was expensive and conceded 44 runs. Joshwa Little also took a wicket and conceded 31 runs.
