RCB outplays Gujrat Giants by 8 wickets.

In the 16th match of the current ongoing WPL, RCB outplays Gujrat Giants by 8 wickets. Gujrat Giants won the toss in the match and decided to bat first. GG sets a total of 188 runs in a loss of 4 wickets. RCB chased the target in 15.3 overs in the loss of 2 wickets. New Zealand all-rounder Sophie Devine missed her century by 1 run. But with the help of her outstanding inning, RCB outplays Gujrat Giants by 8 wickets.

First Inning

For the giants, Sophia Dunkley and Laura Wolvaardt opened the inning. Sophia Dunkley was bowled by Sophie Devine in the 3ed over of the match. Dunkley made 16 runs for the team. Laura Wolvaardt did 63 runs partnership with Sabbhineni Meghana for the 2nd wicket. In the 12th over of the game S. Meghana got out by Preeti Bose at the team score of 90. S. Meghana scored 31 runs for the team.

The new batter Ashleigh Gardner and Laura Wolvaardt made a partnership of 52 runs for the 3rd wicket. Laura Wolvaardth got out after making 68 runs when the team score was 142 runs. Shreyanka Patil out her in the 17th over of the match. Ashleigh Gardner scored 41 runs for the team and was out in the 19th over. Dayalan Hemalatha and Harleen Deol played a small cameo at the end and took GG’s scores to 188 runs. For the RCB, Shreyanka Patil took 2 wickets. Preeti Bose and Sophie Devine also took 1-1 wickets each.

Second Inning

For the RCB, Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine opened the inning. RCB had a brilliant start and did a century partnership for the 1st wicket. Sophie Devine’s aggressive batting helped RCB to reach closer to the target. In the 125 runs, RCB lost 1st wicket as Captain Mandhana in the 10th over of the match. S. Mandhana scored 37 runs for the team then c & b by Sneh Rana. Sophie Devine showed her class by scoring 99 runs in 36 balls. She missed the century by 1 run but had done enough for the team to win the match. Then the remaining work had done by Ellyse Perry and Heather Knight. RCB chased the score in 15.3 overs and won the match by 8 wickets. For the GG, Kim Garth and Sneh Rana took 1-1 wickets each.
