RR vs PBKS 1st Inning: PBKS Sets a Big Total
For Punjab, Prabhsimran Singh and Shikhar Dhawan gave a very nice start. Prabhsimran Singh scored 60 runs and got out by Holder in the 10th over while the team score was 90 runs. Dhawan played brilliantly and scored 86 runs not out. Jitesh scored 26 runs and Shahrukh was out after scoring 11 runs. With the help of these scores, PBKS set a target of 198 runs.
For RR, Holder picked up 2 wickets while Chahal and Ashwin got 1-1 wickets.
RR vs PBKS 2nd Inning: RR lost in Close Match
Ravichandran Ashwin and Yashasvi Jaiswal opened the inning for RR. Arshdeep Singh sent Ashwin back for a duck. Jaiswal scored 11 runs and Buttler scored 19 runs for the team. Sanju Samson scored 42 runs but in the 11th over Ellis sent him back to the pavilion. Padikkal and Riyan Parag also scored 21 and 20 runs for RR. When Padikkal was out, the RR was in 124 runs at 15 overs with the loss of 6 wickets.
Simron Hetmyer and impact player Dhruv Jurel were on the pitch. They have required 74 runs in 5 overs. Both batters hit balls well and took the team near to a win. They required 16 runs in the last over. Hetmyer run out in the 3rd ball and they required 12 runs in 3 balls to win the match. But Curren conceded only 6 runs in the last 3 balls and PBKS won the match by 5 runs. Hetmyer scored 36 runs and Jurel scored 32 runs not out.
For PBKS, N. Ellis picked up 4 wickets. Arshdeep Singh also took 2 wickets to win the match.
