However, Ireland, who are currently placed 11th, had a chance to overtake South Africa by winning the series 3-0 against Bangladesh in the ongoing series starting from May 9 to 14 at the County Ground in Chelmsford.
But, after the first game without a result, Ireland have to play the qualifiers in Zimbabwe. However, even if they win the series 2-0, they cannot surpass South Africa, who are currently in eighth place in the World Cup Super League standings.
