At last, Heinrich Klaasen also scored 16 runs not out in 6 balls. Then SRH sets the highest target of 229 runs in IPL 2023 with a loss of 4 wickets.
For KKR, Russell picked up 3 wickets. Chakaravarthy also took a wicket but other bowlers of KKR remained wicketless in the game.
Harry Brook’s First Hundred in IPL
Harry Brook scored his first hundred in IPL, which is also the first century of Tata IPL 2023. He remained not out in 100 runs off 55 balls. He smashed 12 fours and 3 sixes in his inning.
Second Innings Summary
Rahmanullah Gurbaz and N Jagadeesan opened the inning for KKR. Gurbaz went for a duck on the ball by Bhuvi in the 1st over. Venkatesh Iyer came in, scored 10 runs then he was also out by Marco Jansen. In the next ball, S Narine also went for a golden duck. The KKR lost their 3 wickets for 20 runs.
For the fourth wicket, Jagadeesan and Nitish Rana had a partnership of 62 runs. Jagadeesan scored 36 in 21 balls then Markande took his wicket. Markande strikes again and sends Russell back to the pavilion for 3 runs. Then KKR was in 96 runs at 10.1 overs with a loss of 5 wickets.
Previous match star better Rinku Singh came to bat at No. 7. Rana and Rinku had a partnership of 69 runs. Nitish Rana scored 79 runs in 41 balls then Natarajan sent him back to the pavilion. He smashed 5 fours and 6 sixes in his inning. Then KKR required 64 runs in 21 balls.
Shardul Thakur came in and scored 12 runs. He got out in the first ball of the last over by Umran Malik. They required 32 runs in the last 5 balls but they could only score 8 runs. Rinku Singh completed his half-century and remained not out in 58 runs in 31 balls. The KKR reached up to 205 runs and lost the match by 23 runs.
For SRH, Marco Jansen and Mayank Markande picked up 2-2 wickets. Bhuvi, Natarajan, and Umran also took 1-1 wickets each.
