The UEFA Europa League Quarter-Final Matches in 1st Leg was started on 13 April 2023. Eight teams from different countries were in the draw. All the game from the first leg has been played and are ready for their Second leg starting on April 21st. Every team is willing to take a lead in their second leg and take a forward step for the top 4th position.
Feyenoord(Ned) vs Roma(ITA)
Feyenoord defeated Roma 1-0 in the first leg of the quarter-finals. On April 13, the match was held in the Feyenoord ‘De kuip’ Stadion. Feyenoord and Roma were locked in a tense contest. “Wieffer” scored the game-winning goal for Feyenoord in the 53rd minute. Both teams performed well, with Feyenoord having 51% of the ball and Roma having 49%. They will face again in the second leg, which Roma will host. The second leg will take place on Friday, April 21, 2023. Feyenoord will be looking to exact revenge by leading the game, whereas Roma will also be looking to maintain their domination and satisfy their home audience.
Sporting Cp(POR) vs Juventus(ITA)
Juventus made a step to the last four of the Europa League with a 1-0 win against Sporting in the first leg of their quarterfinal on Thursday. Federico Gatti scored in the second half to clinch the victory. The Portuguese squad dominated most of the game and had several scoring chances but failed to capitalize. The second match will be contested on Thursday at Lisbon’s Stadium Jose Alvalade.

Leverkusen (GER) vs Union SG(BEL)
The Germanian Leverkusen and Belgium team Union SG played the equalizer on the first leg of the Europa League Quarter-Final at BayArena on 14th April 2023. Victor Boniface from Union SG scored the opening goal and Give the team a lead. Although Leverkusen was dominating in ball possession they were seen struggling to score. In the 82 minutes of the game, Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz scored the equalizer and saved the team from a loss. In the second leg, they will meet again on April 21 at Anderlecht Stadium, Brussels.
Man United(ENG) vs Sevilla(ESP)
Manchester United was left stunned by two late own goals as Sevilla rescued a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford in the first leg of their Europa League quarterfinal on Thursday. Marcel Sabitzer scored twice, seven minutes apart, in the first half after through balls from Bruno Fernandes and Anthony Martial. United was unlucky as both the goal from their side was own goal by Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire.
These two teams will again meet in leg 2 on 21 April.
