USA and UAE secured their place in ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2023. Now both teams will be part of ICC CWC Qualifiers 2023 which will be held in Zimbabwe in June and July. The teams will join Nepal, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and other countries’ teams in the Qualifiers.

USA and UAE into the Qualifiers: As the USA defeated Jersey and Namibia defeated Canada in the Qualifier Play-off, the USA and UAE secured their places in the Qualifiers. The USA won their 4 matches after playing all 5 matches of the Qualifier Play-off. The USA defeated all other teams except Canada. Since 2 top teams have to qualify and it was certain that the USA will finish in the top 2, the USA spot was secured.

UAE gets into the Qualifiers due to a head-to-head comparison. The UAE secured their place by having a better head-to-head record than the other teams that could finish tied on points. UAE still has 1 match remaining to play in Play-off. Even if UAE doesn’t have better head-to-head records, the UAE team can qualify for CWC Qualifiers with a win or tie in their last match.

As USA and UAE into the Qualifiers, Namibia and Canada’s hopes are also finished. They could have finished with the same points as UAE but in head-to-head UAE seals the place.
