The Cricket Board of the USA Announced the Squad for World Cup Qualifier 2023. The USA has recently announced its 15 players squad who will be seen playing in the upcoming qualifier matches in Zimbabwe under the captaincy of Monank Patel.
The USA is in group A with Nepal, West Indies, Zimbabwe, and the Netherlands. Their first match is scheduled for June 18 against West Indies at Takashinga Cricket Club, Harare. Before the World Cup Qualifier, they will play their warm-up matches with Sri Lanka and Ireland as per the schedule of ICC.
A piece of good news for the US cricket team as Abhishek Paradkar returns after a two-year break. He is a left-arm fast bowler. But, the team will miss their star all-rounder Ian Holland in the World Cup Qualifiers because of his commitments with Hampshire in the country championship.
Fast bowler Ali Khan will be unable to participate in the opening matches against Nepal and West Indies. He was banned due to his unsportsmanlike activities against Jersey players during the playoff Qualifier last month. This will bring challenges to the team’s bowling attack.
