Zimbabwe wins against Netherlands by 1 run in a last-ball thriller in the Second ODI. Now the series is drawn by 1-1. In the first ODI, the Netherlands won the match by 3 wickets.
The second ODI is played on March 23 at Harare Sports Club, Harare. Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to bat first. In the first Inning Zimbabwe set a target of 272 runs. In the second Inning, the Netherlands only reach up to 270 runs and Zimbabwe won the match by 1 run. Wesley Madhevere becomes the Player of the match for his all-round performance. He scored 43 runs with the bat and took a 3-wicket haul with the ball. He took a hattrick of wickets and turned the game in the favor of Zimbabwe.
First Inning: Zimbabwe set a target of 272 runs.
For Zimbabwe, C. Ervine and W. Madhevere opened the inning and had a 61 runs partnership for the first wicket. At the 11th over, Ervine was bowled by Colin Ackermann. Ervine scored 39 runs for the team. New batsman Gary Ballance couldn’t do much for the team and was out when the team score was 80 runs. Madhevere also got out after scoring 43 runs. Sean Williams and Clive Madande scored beautiful half-centuries and helped Zimbabwe to reach in good total. Williams scored 77 runs while Madande scored 52 runs for the team. Sikandar Raza, Ryan Burls, and Brad Evans couldn’t do so much for the team and loosed their wickets early. At last, William Masakadza hits 10 runs and Blessing Muzarbani hits 17 runs not out. At the last over. Tendai Chatara got out and Zimbabwe was all out at 271 runs.
For the Netherlands, Shariz Ahmed took a 5 wickets haul. Colin Ackermann and van Meekeren took 2-2 wickets while Ryan Klein took 1 wicket.

Second inning: Zimbabwe wins against Netherlands
For the Netherlands, Vikramjit Singh and Max O’Dowd opened the inning. In the 8th over Muzarabani sent Vikramjit to the pavilion for the first wicket. O’Dowd and Tom Cooper did a magnificent partnership of 125 runs for the second wicket. T. Cooper ran out by Craig Evrine in the 33rd over. He scored 74 runs for the team. After scoring 81 runs, O’Dowd also lbw by Sikandar Raza. At that point, the Netherlands was 197/3 at 40.3 over. In the 44th over, Madhevere took a hattrick of wickets and turned the game in the favor of Zimbabwe. He sent Ackermann, Nidamanuru, and Van Meekeren back to the pavilion. Ackermann scored 28 runs for the team. Sharizz Ahmed was also run out by Madande. Edwards tried to make the match in their favor but got out after scoring 36 runs. At that time, The Netherlands was 252/8 at 48.3 overs.
The Netherlands needs 20 runs in 9 balls to win the match. Musa Ahmed was out at the last ball of the 49th over. In the last over, the Netherlands required 19 runs to win the match. Ryan Klein and Frad Klaassen tried to make the chase done but they couldn’t do so. At the last ball, a four was required but Klein was run out when they were running for the third run. The Netherlands was all out at 270 runs and Zimbabwe wins the match against the Netherlands by 1 run. For Zimbabwe, Madhevere and Sikandar Raza took 3-3 wickets while Muzarbani got 1 wicket.
